Active-fire detections around Valdelagua
Circles show 10, 20 and 50 km from the reference point. Satellite thermal detections are not the same as confirmed wildfires; industrial heat, agricultural burning and delayed overpasses can create misleading results.

Wildfire-related regional news
The dashboard reads official Comunidad de Madrid RSS feeds. Because this is a local HTML file, some browsers block cross-site RSS requests; when that happens it uses a read-only CORS relay and still links every item to the original official page.
How to interpret the status
- Green: no recent FIRMS detection within 50 km and weather is not unusually adverse.
- Yellow: detection within 50 km, or notable heat/dryness/wind.
- Orange: detection within 20 km, or severe fire-weather combination.
- Red: detection within 10 km. Immediately check Madrid 112 and EFFIS; call 112 for visible smoke or fire.
Important limitations
This is an awareness tool, not an official warning system. FIRMS is near-real-time satellite detection and may be delayed by satellite timing, cloud or smoke. Never wait for this dashboard before calling 112, leaving when instructed, or acting on visible fire and smoke. The dashboard does not currently calculate fire spread or determine whether a fire is moving toward Valdelagua.
